Tasks

Tasks are the actions that keep your business moving — follow up with a lead, send a quote, order materials, call a subcontractor. Every task can be linked to a contact, a job, or both.

Creating a task

Click New Task from the Tasks page, or add a task directly from within a job. Give it a title, set a due date, and assign a priority.

Priority levels

  • High — urgent, needs to happen today or ASAP
  • Normal — standard follow-up or action item
  • Low — nice to do, not time-sensitive

Task statuses

  • Pending — not started yet
  • In Progress — actively being worked on
  • Completed — done

Using the AI to create tasks

The AI Assistant can create tasks from a conversation. Try:

  • "Remind me to call the Hendersons on Friday"
  • "Add a task to send the Martinez quote by end of week"
  • "Create a high priority task: order roofing materials for the Thompson job"

Viewing tasks

The Tasks page shows all your open tasks. Filter by status, priority, or due date. Tasks that are overdue are highlighted so they're easy to spot.

Completing tasks

Check off a task when it's done — it moves to completed and stays in your history. The AI can also complete tasks: "Mark the call with Peterson as done."
